Job Title: Rotating Equipment Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Rotating Equipment Engineer – Junior Level to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build your career in the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment, such as pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, and gearboxes. As a junior engineer, you will assist senior engineers in performing tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and optimization of rotating equipment, ensuring that all systems function efficiently and reliably. You will work in a collaborative environment and continue to develop technical skills to advance in your engineering career.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Rotating Equipment Maintenance:
- Support the maintenance of rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, and other mechanical systems.
- Learn to perform routine inspections, lubrication, alignment, and vibration analysis to ensure the reliable operation of the equipment.
- Assist senior engineers with troubleshooting mechanical issues such as misalignment, imbalance, and wear on rotating machinery.
Support Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose basic faults in rotating equipment under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Use diagnostic tools and manuals to assist in resolving equipment issues.
- Support the repair and replacement of parts, including bearings, seals, and other components, to restore equipment to operational status.
Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Inspections:
- Assist in creating and executing preventive maintenance schedules for critical rotating equipment.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and monitoring performance to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Inspect mechanical systems for wear and damage and notify senior engineers of potential concerns.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment performance.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to the performance and maintenance of rotating equipment.
- Track and log data related to equipment health and provide insights to senior engineers for further analysis.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all work is carried out following safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support the identification and correction of safety hazards related to rotating equipment.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement in safety practices.
Learning and Skill Development:
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to increase knowledge of rotating equipment systems and maintenance best practices.
- Work closely with senior engineers to learn about the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various types of rotating machinery.
- Gain hands-on experience and gradually take on more responsibilities as your knowledge and skills develop.

- Ensure that all tasks are performed safely and comply with regulatory and internal standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of rotating machinery, mechanical systems, or equipment maintenance is a plus.
Experience:
- 1-2 years prior professional experience required; this is an entry-level position ideal for recent graduates or those with limited work experience in rotating equipment or mechanical engineering.
- Any internships, hands-on projects, or academic work related to mechanical systems, rotating equipment, or power generation is beneficial.
Skills:
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, including rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, etc.).
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to follow troubleshooting procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document maintenance work accurately.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with senior engineers and other teams.
- Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to gaining knowledge and skills in rotating equipment engineering.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Any safety-related certifications such as OSHA or First Aid/CPR are a plus.
- Knowledge of machinery diagnostic tools, vibration analysis, or preventive maintenance systems is beneficial.
