Job Title: Rotating Equipment Engineer 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Rotating Equipment Engineer – Fresher to join our engineering team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to start their career in mechanical engineering, specifically in the maintenance and operation of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, and gearboxes. As a fresher, you will receive training and gain hands-on experience in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of rotating equipment. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of plant operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with Rotating Equipment Maintenance:

    • Learn to assist in the maintenance of rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors, ensuring their optimal performance.
    • Support senior engineers in performing routine inspections, lubrication, alignment, and vibration analysis to ensure the smooth operation of equipment.
    • Help identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues such as misalignment, imbalance, and wear in rotating machinery.
  2. Support in Troubleshooting and Repairs:

    • Assist in diagnosing rotating equipment issues, using basic diagnostic tools and following standard procedures to identify faults.
    • Learn to work with maintenance teams to repair or replace damaged parts and components, ensuring minimal downtime.
    • Support in disassembling and reassembling rotating equipment, checking for wear and tear, and making necessary adjustments.
  3. Data Collection and Analysis:

    • Support the collection of data on equipment performance, including vibration readings, temperature, pressure, and operational hours.
    • Assist in preparing reports on the performance of rotating equipment and identifying potential improvements or preventive maintenance actions.
  4. Preventive Maintenance Program Support:

    • Learn to assist in developing and executing preventive maintenance programs for rotating equipment, ensuring their reliability and extending their service life.
    • Help maintain a preventive maintenance schedule for critical rotating equipment and ensure that required tasks are completed on time.
  5. Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to safety procedures when working with rotating equipment, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
    • Support safety audits and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Participate in safety training and contribute to maintaining a culture of safety within the engineering team.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, repairs, and part replacements.
    • Document any issues identified during inspections or troubleshooting, and assist in the preparation of operational and maintenance reports.
  7. Learning and Development:

    • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job learning opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and develop your skills in rotating equipment engineering.
    • Work closely with senior engineers to gain hands-on experience with various types of rotating equipment, learning about their operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.

    • Ensure that all tasks are performed following strict safety protocols, while adhering to company and industry standards.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Assist in documenting maintenance work, equipment data, and performance metrics to support ongoing operations and future improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Educational Requirements:

    • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • Any coursework or technical knowledge related to rotating equipment or machinery is a plus.
  2. Experience:

    • No prior professional experience required; this is an entry-level role ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in rotating equipment engineering.
    • Any internships or academic projects related to rotating machinery or mechanical systems are beneficial.
  3. Skills:

    • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, particularly rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, etc.).
    • Good problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to observe and report on equipment performance.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly.
    • Willingness to learn, adapt, and follow established procedures.
  4. Certifications (Preferred):

    • Any certifications related to mechanical systems, machinery maintenance, or safety (e.g., OSHA) are a plus.
    • Knowledge of vibration analysis or mechanical diagnostic tools is an advantage.
