The Senior Retail Data Analyst is responsible for leading advanced data analysis and business intelligence initiatives to drive strategic decision-making in retail operations, sales, and customer engagement. This role involves developing complex analytical models, optimizing inventory strategies, forecasting sales trends, and collaborating with executive leadership to enhance data-driven strategies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data analytics, statistical modeling, and a deep understanding of the retail landscape.
Lead the collection, cleaning, and analysis of large retail datasets to uncover trends and opportunities.
Develop and implement advanced predictive models for demand forecasting, pricing optimization, and customer segmentation.
Analyze key retail performance indicators, including sales, profitability, conversion rates, and market trends.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize merchandising, supply chain, and customer engagement strategies.
Design and maintain executive-level dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools.
Present complex data insights in a clear and impactful manner to senior leadership and business units.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all reporting tools and analytics platforms.
Conduct deep-dive analysis on promotional effectiveness, customer behavior, and market competitiveness.
Collaborate with supply chain teams to improve demand forecasting and optimize stock levels.
Support pricing and marketing teams with data-driven strategies for revenue maximization and customer retention.
Lead automation of data reporting and analysis processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Work with IT and engineering teams to implement AI-driven analytics tools and big data solutions.
Utilize SQL, Python, R, or similar tools to perform complex data extractions and statistical analysis.
Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in retail analytics, providing thought leadership.
Act as a strategic partner to executive teams, translating data insights into actionable business strategies.
Mentor junior and mid-level analysts, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, finance, and IT, to drive business growth.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably within the retail or e-commerce industry.
Expertise in SQL, Excel, Python, R, and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in machine learning and predictive analytics.
Ability to interpret complex data sets and present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is a plus.
