    • Support the integration of refrigeration systems into existing facilities or new installations to ensure proper functioning and temperature control.
  2. Maintenance and Calibration:

    • Help with routine maintenance and calibration of refrigeration equipment to ensure systems are operating at optimal performance.
    • Assist in performing inspections, checking refrigerant levels, cleaning components, and replacing worn-out parts to avoid system failures.
    • Support preventive maintenance activities to minimize system downtime and extend the life of refrigeration equipment.
  3. Temperature Monitoring and Control:

    • Assist in monitoring temperature-controlled environments and cold storage systems to ensure that temperature-sensitive products are stored within acceptable ranges.
    • Help record and track temperature data, ensuring that cold chain requirements are consistently met throughout storage and transportation.
    • Support troubleshooting efforts in case of temperature excursions or system failures.
  4. Data Collection and Reporting:

    • Collect data related to the performance of refrigeration systems, including temperature fluctuations, system efficiency, and equipment operation.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate records of system performance and downtime, which will be used for audits, maintenance reports, and optimization projects.
    • Support the development of performance reports for management, identifying areas for improvement or system upgrades.
  5. Troubleshooting and System Optimization:

    • Assist in identifying basic issues in refrigeration systems and support senior engineers in diagnosing and resolving problems such as compressor failures, leaks, or electrical issues.
    • Support optimization efforts to improve system efficiency and minimize energy consumption without compromising the quality of the cold chain.
  6. Compliance and Standards:

    • Ensure that all refrigeration and cold chain control systems comply with industry regulations and safety standards, including energy efficiency and environmental regulations.
    • Assist in maintaining documentation to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations (e.g., F-gas, EPA, ISO).
    • Help implement and follow industry best practices in maintaining refrigeration and cold storage systems to ensure food safety, pharmaceutical integrity, and compliance.
  7. Collaboration and Team Support:

    • Work alongside senior engineers and technical teams to implement upgrades, repairs, and improvements to refrigeration and cold chain control systems.
    • Assist with training activities, gaining knowledge about best practices, and operating safety standards in refrigeration systems.
    • Provide technical support to operators or facility teams in using refrigeration systems effectively and in troubleshooting minor system issues.
  8. Learning and Development:

    • Continuously develop technical expertise in refrigeration, cold chain control, and related technologies, including refrigerants, cooling cycles, and monitoring devices.
    • Stay updated on the latest trends in refrigeration technologies and cold chain management practices to enhance system design and performance.
    • Participate in hands-on training programs and workshops to improve troubleshooting skills and learn about the different types of refrigeration systems used in cold storage, transport, and commercial operations.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Basic understanding of refrigeration systems, including components like compressors, evaporators, condensers, and thermostats.
  • Familiarity with cold chain management practices and the importance of maintaining proper temperature control for sensitive goods.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills related to refrigeration, cold storage, and control systems.
  • Good problem-solving abilities to assist in identifying and resolving system issues in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail in maintaining records and following safety and compliance procedures.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with engineers, operators, and other departments to ensure the smooth operation of refrigeration systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems is an advantage.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or a related technical field.
  • Coursework or certifications related to refrigeration systems, cold chain management, or energy efficiency is a plus.

Experience:

  • No prior professional experience required; internships or academic projects related to refrigeration systems, cold storage, or HVAC systems are beneficial.
  • Exposure to refrigeration systems or cold chain technology through coursework or practical experience is advantageous.
