The Junior Refrigeration Systems Engineer supports the design, development, and testing of automotive refrigeration and cooling systems, including HVAC refrigerant circuits and heat pump technologies. This role assists in the creation of efficient, reliable, and environmentally compliant systems by performing analyses, supporting prototype testing, and collaborating with senior engineers. The junior engineer contributes to system validation and continuous improvement initiatives under guidance, gaining hands-on experience in refrigeration technology applied to automotive climate control.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of refrigeration and cooling systems for automotive HVAC applications.
Support modeling and simulation efforts to optimize refrigerant flow, pressure drops, and thermal performance.
Participate in prototype testing and data collection to validate system designs and performance targets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HVAC design, vehicle integration, and suppliers to support system development.
Help maintain technical documentation, test reports, and design records according to engineering standards.
Contribute to troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to refrigerant systems.
Stay current with refrigerant regulations, environmental standards, and emerging refrigeration technologies.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field required
Experience:
0–2 years of experience in refrigeration systems, HVAC, or automotive thermal management (internships or project experience considered)
Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of refrigeration cycles, refrigerants, and thermal system components
Familiarity with CAD software and basic simulation tools
Knowledge of environmental regulations related to refrigerants a plus
