Job Title: Refrigeration Mechanic – Fresher
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Refrigeration Mechanic – Fresher to join our technical team. In this entry-level role, you will receive on-the-job training in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration systems. Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Commissioning:
- Assist senior mechanics in installing and commissioning refrigeration systems.
- Support the setup, calibration, and testing of refrigeration equipment to ensure proper operation.
Maintenance & Repairs:
- Help perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of refrigeration components.
- Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues in refrigeration systems.
- Assist in repairing refrigeration equipment by identifying defective parts and supporting replacement procedures under supervision.
Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards during maintenance and repair activities.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Participate in safety training sessions and follow established safety procedures.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
- Help update maintenance logs and prepare basic reports on refrigeration system performance.
- Document any issues encountered during maintenance and communicate them to the supervisor.
Learning & Development:
- Engage in on-the-job training programs to develop technical skills specific to refrigeration systems.
- Collaborate with experienced technicians to understand system operations, troubleshooting methods, and maintenance best practices.
- Stay updated on new technologies and industry trends in refrigeration.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in refrigeration, HVAC technology, or mechanical/electrical maintenance is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems is beneficial.
Experience:
- 0-1 years prior professional experience is required; this position is designed for freshers.
- Any internships, projects, or hands-on training related to refrigeration or HVAC systems will be considered an asset.
Skills:
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in refrigeration systems.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Basic safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid/CPR) are a plus.
