Job Title: Refrigeration Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Mid-Level Refrigeration Engineer to join our dynamic team in the industrial refrigeration and HVAC sector. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced refrigeration systems. This position is ideal for professionals with several years of practical experience who can work independently and lead projects, while continuing to develop innovative solutions for system efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Installation & Commissioning:

  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to design and implement efficient refrigeration solutions tailored to client needs.

• Maintenance & Performance Optimization:

  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for refrigeration and HVAC systems to minimize downtime and maximize performance.
  • Analyze system performance data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

• Troubleshooting & Repairs:

  • Diagnose complex issues with refrigeration equipment and lead repair efforts to restore optimal functionality.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely procurement and replacement of components.

• Project Management & Coordination:

  • Lead small to medium-scale projects related to system upgrades, retrofits, or new installations.
  • Manage technical documentation, including maintenance logs, repair records, and compliance reports.

• Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.

• Team Collaboration & Mentorship:

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in refrigeration, HVAC, or related disciplines are highly desirable.

• Experience:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration system installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Proven track record of managing projects and troubleshooting complex systems.

• Skills:

  • Strong technical aptitude with an in-depth understanding of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, and control systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for performance analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions independently.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Certifications (Preferred):

  • Industry-recognized certifications in refrigeration or HVAC systems (e.g., EPA 608 Certification, HVAC Excellence Certification).
  • Safety certifications such as OSHA or equivalent are a plus.
