Job Title: Refrigeration Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Junior Refrigeration Engineer to join our engineering team in the industrial refrigeration and HVAC sector. In this role, you will build on your foundational knowledge and training to assist in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems. Key Responsibilities:

System Maintenance and Support:

• Collaborate with senior engineers to perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, chillers, freezers, and HVAC systems.
• Assist in cleaning, lubricating, and testing system components to ensure optimal performance and prevent equipment failures.
• Execute maintenance tasks following established protocols and standard operating procedures.

Troubleshooting and Repairs:

• Diagnose and address basic issues under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Support the disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of refrigeration system components to identify and replace defective parts.
• Contribute to resolving technical issues quickly and efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards while performing maintenance and repair activities.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in ongoing safety training sessions and drills.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance logs.
• Assist in preparing detailed reports on equipment status, troubleshooting steps, and repairs completed.
• Document any recurring issues and collaborate with the team to propose long-term solutions.

Professional Development:

• Engage in continuous learning through on-the-job training and professional development programs.
• Work closely with senior team members to gain deeper insights into advanced refrigeration system diagnostics and maintenance strategies.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

• A diploma or degree in refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant technical certifications or coursework in refrigeration and HVAC systems are advantageous.

Experience:

• 1-2 years Prior hands-on experience through internships, co-op placements, or entry-level roles in refrigeration, HVAC, or related industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial refrigeration systems and maintenance practices is a plus.

Skills:

• Strong technical aptitude and a foundational understanding of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
• Good communication skills and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to following standard procedures and safety guidelines.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Basic safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid/CPR) are beneficial.
