Job Title: Refrigeration Engineer 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Refrigeration Engineer – Fresher to join our engineering team in the industrial refrigeration and HVAC sector. In this entry-level role, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training to assist in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited professional experience who are eager to start a career in refrigeration engineering within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assistance with System Maintenance:

  • Support senior engineers in performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, chillers, freezers, and HVAC systems.
  • Assist in cleaning, lubricating, and testing system components to ensure proper functionality and prevent breakdowns.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and maintenance protocols as directed by experienced staff.

Troubleshooting and Repairs:

  • Learn to diagnose basic issues and assist in troubleshooting malfunctions within refrigeration systems.
  • Help in disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling system components to identify and replace defective parts or components.
  • Work under supervision to ensure repairs are conducted safely and effectively, adhering to industry best practices.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards when performing maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Participate in safety training sessions and drills to contribute to a safe workplace.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
  • Help update maintenance logs and prepare basic reports regarding system efficiency and any issues encountered.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and outcomes to support continuous improvement processes.

Learning and Development:

  • Participate in structured on-the-job training programs to develop technical skills in refrigeration system operations and maintenance.
  • Gain experience in operating diagnostic tools and learning advanced troubleshooting techniques under the guidance of seasoned engineers.
  • Collaborate with team members to build a comprehensive understanding of refrigeration system design, function, and maintenance procedures.

  • System Maintenance: Support routine and preventive maintenance of industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a technical certification or coursework in refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, or electrical engineering is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, and electrical systems is beneficial.

Experience:

  • No prior professional experience is required; this is an entry-level position suitable for recent graduates or individuals starting their career in refrigeration engineering.
  • Internships, academic projects, or hands-on training related to refrigeration or HVAC systems are advantageous.

Skills:

  • Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills in refrigeration engineering.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures accurately.

Certifications (Preferred):
