Job Title: Quality Control and Monitoring Systems Engineer
Job Summary:
The Quality Control and Monitoring Systems Engineer (Fresher) is responsible for assisting in the setup, operation, and maintenance of quality control and monitoring systems used in industrial or manufacturing environments. This entry-level role involves supporting senior engineers in ensuring the consistency, accuracy, and efficiency of quality control processes, assisting in the monitoring of key quality parameters, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The engineer will gain hands-on experience with various tools and technologies used to measure and monitor product quality, while supporting ongoing process improvements and maintaining high standards of quality in production.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control System Setup and Operation:
- Assist in setting up and configuring quality control and monitoring systems used to measure various product parameters (e.g., dimensional, chemical, physical properties).
- Support the operation of quality control systems, including automated inspection equipment, sensors, and other monitoring devices.
- Assist in conducting tests and measurements to ensure products meet defined quality standards.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Help collect data from quality control and monitoring systems, including sensors, gauges, and inspection systems.
- Assist in analyzing the data collected from quality monitoring systems to detect deviations or areas that require corrective action.
- Maintain accurate records of quality data and produce reports to support ongoing quality assessments and improvements.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving basic issues with quality monitoring systems, sensors, and control equipment.
- Support the regular maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in quality control testing.
- Follow established procedures to identify potential equipment malfunctions or quality issues and take corrective action where necessary.
Quality Compliance and Reporting:
- Support efforts to ensure all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in preparing quality control documentation and reports required for regulatory compliance or internal quality reviews.
- Participate in internal and external audits of quality control systems to ensure adherence to established standards.
Process Monitoring and Improvement:
- Assist in monitoring production processes and quality control metrics to identify areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement corrective actions or process changes to improve product quality.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, waste, and rework in production.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure quality goals are met.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and technicians to address quality concerns and improve the overall manufacturing process.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss quality performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Learning and Development:
- Continuously develop skills and knowledge in quality control techniques, process monitoring systems, and quality management practices.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in quality control technologies.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your technical capabilities in quality control systems and tools.

- Basic understanding of quality control principles, tools, and techniques.

- Basic knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis techniques for quality control purposes.

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
- Coursework or training in quality control systems, statistical process control, or manufacturing processes is a plus.
Experience:
- No prior professional experience required; internships or academic projects related to quality control or manufacturing processes are advantageous.
- Exposure to quality control tools or systems through coursework, internships, or practical experiences is a plus.
Tools and Technologies:
- Familiarity with quality control tools and instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, spectrometers, sensors).
- Basic understanding of data analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab) for statistical process control (SPC).
- Exposure to SCADA systems, PLCs, or manufacturing execution systems (MES) is beneficial.
