- Use measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to measure the dimensions and tolerances of mechanical components.
- Assist in non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to detect faults, cracks, or other defects in mechanical systems.
Monitoring Production Quality:
- Monitor production processes to ensure that machines and components meet defined quality criteria.
- Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects or deviations from specifications and notify the senior team members.
- Record data from inspections and tests to track production quality and performance.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of inspection and testing results, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in preparing quality reports, summarizing inspection data, deviations, and corrective actions taken.
- Report any non-conformance or quality issues to the Quality Control Supervisor or Manager for further action.
Collaborating with Other Departments:
- Work closely with the production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth communication regarding quality standards and issues.
- Collaborate with senior quality control team members to understand quality problems and assist in troubleshooting solutions.
- Assist in identifying areas for improvement in the production process to ensure higher quality and efficiency.
Learning and Skill Development:
- Participate in training sessions to develop skills in quality control procedures, testing methods, and the use of measurement tools.
- Learn to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and blueprints related to mechanical systems.
- Continuously improve knowledge of quality control standards and mechanical system requirements under the guidance of experienced team members.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when conducting inspections or handling mechanical systems.
- Adhere to company policies and industry standards for safety, quality control, and environmental practices.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately and ensure that quality checks do not disrupt production flow.
Key Focus Areas:
Inspection and Measurement:
- Assist in the inspection and measurement of mechanical systems, parts, and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
- Help identify mechanical issues and quality deviations, providing support for the team in resolving quality-related challenges.

- Assist in maintaining accurate quality control records and reports, ensuring traceability of inspections, tests, and corrective actions.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety regulations and use appropriate PPE when conducting inspections or handling machinery and mechanical systems.
Continuous Learning and Development:
- Take initiative in learning about quality control procedures, mechanical systems, and testing techniques to develop expertise in the field.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Recent graduates or individuals with 1-2 years of experience in mechanical systems or quality control are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, components, and their functions.
- Familiarity with measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) is an advantage but not required.
- Willingness to learn quality control procedures, testing methods, and the use of diagnostic tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inspections and measurements.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with senior team members, production staff, and other departments.
