Job Title: Quality Manager
Job Summary:
The Quality Manager oversees the development, implementation, and management of quality assurance systems to ensure compliance with organizational objectives and industry standards. This role involves leading a team of quality engineers, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing audits, and serving as a key point of contact for stakeholders on quality-related matters. The Quality Manager ensures that products and processes align with customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of quality engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Define quality objectives, allocate responsibilities, and monitor the team’s progress toward achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Foster a culture of quality excellence, continuous improvement, and compliance throughout the organization.
Strategic Planning and Quality Systems Management:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the quality management system (QMS), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the maintenance and improvement of quality certifications, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or equivalent.
- Establish and monitor quality metrics to assess process performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Ensure all products and processes meet or exceed organizational, industry, and customer quality standards.
- Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions for significant quality issues.
- Oversee supplier quality management, including supplier audits and performance evaluations.
Audits and Compliance:
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance with relevant standards.
- Address audit findings, implement corrective actions, and monitor their effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and stay updated on changes in industry standards.
Process Improvement and Innovation:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, reduce defects, and improve operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to optimize quality processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement best practices in quality management.
Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Communicate quality performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership through detailed reports and presentations.
- Represent the organization in client meetings, industry forums, and certification bodies.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Advanced knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Expertise in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other relevant standards).
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma methodologies, and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with advanced inspection tools, such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM), spectrometers, and other precision instruments.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills to manage teams and complex quality systems.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Advanced certifications in quality management, such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent, are highly desirable.

- Process Control in Drilling, Refining, and Extraction: Managing the quality engineering teams to develop, implement, and optimize process control systems, ensuring consistent quality across operations.
- SCADA Systems for Pipeline Management: Overseeing the quality assurance strategy for SCADA systems, leading initiatives to improve system performance, reliability, and integration across pipeline management.
- Safety and Emergency Shutdown Systems: Leading cross-functional teams in the implementation and continuous improvement of quality control processes for safety and emergency shutdown systems.
- Environmental and Regulatory Compliance: Developing and driving the company's compliance programs, ensuring that all systems and processes align with environmental and regulatory standards, and overseeing audits and certifications.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing quality teams, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
