Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Engineer

Job Summery:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager-Level Quality Control (QC) Engineer to lead and oversee quality assurance activities for avionics and flight control systems, safety and emergency systems, and precision instrumentation. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership to ensure compliance, enhance system reliability, and maintain the highest standards of safety and performance in the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Avionics and Flight Control Systems:

    • Oversee quality assurance processes for avionics hardware and software, ensuring full compliance with standards such as DO-178C and DO-254.
    • Develop and implement innovative testing strategies to validate performance under diverse operational scenarios.
    • Lead initiatives to enhance system integration and interoperability across flight control platforms.
  2. Safety and Emergency Systems:

    • Establish and manage rigorous testing frameworks for critical safety and emergency systems, such as fire suppression, oxygen delivery, and evacuation tools.
    • Drive risk assessments and fail-safe evaluations to ensure robust system responses during emergency scenarios.
    • Collaborate with regulatory bodies to maintain certifications for safety-critical systems.
  3. Precision Instrumentation:

    • Define and enforce quality standards for navigation, communication, and control instrumentation, ensuring exceptional precision and reliability.
    • Supervise calibration and validation processes to meet stringent tolerances and performance benchmarks.
    • Lead efforts to enhance environmental resilience and operational accuracy of precision devices.
  4. Strategic Leadership and Team Management:

    • Develop and communicate the QC department's vision, goals, and strategy in alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of QC engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and quality excellence.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams, providing expertise in quality assurance and compliance.
  5. Compliance and Continuous Improvement:

    • Ensure adherence to aerospace quality management systems such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools like Six Sigma, Lean principles, and FMEA.
    • Lead audits, inspections, and certification processes to uphold regulatory and industry compliance.
  6. Reporting and Communication:

    • Prepare and present detailed reports on quality metrics, findings, and corrective actions to senior leadership.
    • Develop documentation and traceability systems to support compliance and performance tracking.

  • Ensuring instrumentation meets stringent accuracy and reliability benchmarks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in quality control within the aerospace or similar high-reliability industries, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in avionics systems, safety-critical systems, and precision instrumentation.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards such as FAA, EASA, DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160, AS9100, and ISO 9001.
  • Proven leadership, strategic planning, and team management skills.
  • Proficiency with quality and data analysis tools like MATLAB, LabVIEW, or Python.
  • Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent are preferred.
