Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Mid-Level QA/QC Technician is responsible for performing detailed inspections and quality control checks throughout the project lifecycle. This includes verifying that materials, workmanship, and procedures comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The role supports documentation, non-conformance management, and coordination with site teams and third-party labs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections for civil, mechanical, or electrical works (as applicable) according to approved inspection and test plans (ITPs).

  • Check materials delivered to site for compliance with approved samples and specifications.

  • Monitor ongoing site activities to ensure compliance with drawings, method statements, and quality standards.

  • Assist in preparing and submitting inspection reports, checklists, and quality logs.

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for non-conformities (NCRs).

  • Verify calibration of equipment and accuracy of test reports.

  • Coordinate with construction teams, consultants, and third-party labs for inspections and testing.

  • Ensure proper documentation of QA/QC records, including material approvals, test certificates, and inspection requests (IRs).

  • Participate in internal audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 or project-specific QA/QC systems.

  • Provide guidance to junior technicians or site operatives on quality procedures.


Requirements:

  • Diploma or technical degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in QA/QC roles within construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.

  • Good understanding of applicable codes and standards (ASTM, ACI, BS, ASME, IEC, etc.).

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, method statements, and test procedures.

  • Familiarity with material testing processes, inspection tools, and site documentation.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet inspection schedules.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISO 9001 awareness or internal auditor certification.

  • Certification in NDT, welding inspection, or material testing (if applicable).

  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic QA/QC software tools.
