- Create and modify technical drawings, schematics, and system layouts under the guidance of senior engineers, using CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
- Support in designing system configurations and ensuring that all components are compatible and meet project requirements.
-
Component Selection and Sizing:
- Assist in selecting and specifying components for pump skid systems, such as pumps, motors, and accessories, based on performance criteria, flow rates, and other operational requirements.
- Help ensure that all selected components meet operational, safety, and regulatory standards.
-
Assembly and Installation Support:
- Assist in the assembly and integration of pump skid systems, ensuring components are correctly installed and aligned.
- Work with the team to install motors, pumps, valves, piping, and instrumentation according to design specifications and drawings.
- Support the team in the mechanical and electrical setup of the skid, ensuring everything is operational.
-
Testing and Commissioning:
- Help with testing pump skid systems during the commissioning phase to ensure they operate according to design specifications and meet performance standards.
- Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting any issues that arise during the testing phase and work to resolve problems promptly.
- Perform basic diagnostic tests to ensure proper system functionality and assist in optimizing the system performance.
-
Documentation and Reporting:
- Assist in preparing technical documentation such as system layouts, design specifications, operation manuals, and test reports.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes, system configurations, and performance test results.
- Help organize and prepare reports on the progress of design tasks, installations, and testing activities.
-
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work with engineers, project managers, procurement teams, and installation teams to ensure that pump skid systems meet project requirements and are delivered on schedule.
- Communicate effectively with team members to address design and installation challenges and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently.
-
Safety and Compliance:
- Assist in ensuring that pump skid systems comply with industry safety standards and regulatory codes (e.g., ASME, API, OSHA).
- Follow established safety protocols during system assembly, installation, and testing to ensure a safe working environment.
- Help identify and address potential safety risks during design and installation phases.
-
Learning and Development:
- Continuously develop knowledge of pump skid systems, fluid dynamics, and mechanical systems through on-the-job training and collaboration with senior engineers.
- Take part in training programs to improve technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as pump selection and system design.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Basic understanding of pump systems, fluid mechanics, and mechanical design principles.
