Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in Pump Installation and Setup:
- Assist senior technicians with the installation and setup of various types of pumps, including centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps, and gear pumps.
- Help with aligning and assembling pump components according to technical specifications and blueprints.
- Support in ensuring pumps are installed correctly and ready for operational use.
Routine Maintenance:
- Support in performing scheduled maintenance tasks on pumps, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of key components like seals, bearings, and impellers.
- Assist with preventive maintenance checks to ensure pump systems are operating efficiently and identify any potential issues before they lead to equipment failure.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
- Learn and assist in identifying common mechanical issues with pumps, such as leaks, vibration, cavitation, and overheating.
- Support senior technicians in diagnosing pump system failures and help carry out repairs or replacements of faulty components.
- Learn how to use diagnostic tools and techniques to detect system issues and understand the root causes.
Repair and Rebuild Support:
- Assist in disassembling and reassembling pump systems for repairs or overhauls, ensuring all parts are inspected for wear and replaced as necessary.
- Support in testing repaired pumps to ensure they meet operational requirements and performance standards.
- Help with the replacement of parts like seals, valves, and gaskets, ensuring the pump system returns to optimal function.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required when working on pumps and associated systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing maintenance tasks.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts usage.
- Support in documenting the condition of pump systems, noting any issues found during inspections and repairs.
- Help update inventory records for parts and materials used during maintenance work.
Learning and Skill Development:
- Participate in on-the-job training, learning the basics of pump maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting from experienced technicians.
- Gradually take on more responsibilities as you gain experience and confidence in the role.
- Take part in training programs to enhance your knowledge of pump systems, maintenance techniques, and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Any coursework or training related to pumps, mechanical systems, or industrial maintenance is an advantage.
Experience:
- 0 -1 years prior professional experience required. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who are eager to start their careers in pump maintenance.
- Any hands-on experience through internships, projects, or workshops related to mechanical systems or industrial equipment is beneficial.
