The Project Manager – Boiler Systems Installation/Upgrades is responsible for end-to-end management of projects involving the installation, replacement, retrofitting, or upgrading of industrial boiler systems and their auxiliaries. The role requires coordination between engineering, procurement, contractors, OEMs, site teams, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective project delivery aligned with technical standards and client expectations.
Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of boiler system installation and upgrade projects (e.g., new boiler installation, fuel conversion, controls upgrade, capacity expansion).
Develop and manage detailed project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using tools like MS Project or Primavera.
Review and approve P&IDs, GA drawings, pressure part designs, and control logic.
Ensure compliance with ASME Section I/VIII, API, NBIC, NFPA, and local boiler codes.
Coordinate with OEMs and third-party engineering firms on technical design and performance specs.
Prepare project budgets, monitor CAPEX/OPEX spend, and ensure alignment with financial forecasts.
Evaluate and approve change orders, manage risks, and implement cost-saving measures.
Work with procurement teams to source boilers, burners, instrumentation, and ancillary components.
Evaluate vendor proposals and manage contractor performance throughout the project lifecycle.
