Job Title: Production Control Systems Engineer
Job Summary:
The Production Control Systems Engineer (Fresher) is responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of production control systems in manufacturing environments. This includes monitoring and managing production schedules, ensuring the seamless operation of automated production systems, and supporting the integration of control systems such as SCADA, PLC, and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems). The role provides a great opportunity for learning and hands-on experience in optimizing production processes, troubleshooting control system issues, and improving manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Control Systems Support:
- Assist in the setup, integration, and configuration of production control systems such as SCADA, PLC, and MES to monitor and control production processes.
- Help monitor production schedules, materials, and equipment status to ensure that manufacturing processes are running on time and within established parameters.
- Provide support in managing production data, tracking performance, and identifying potential improvements in production workflows.
SCADA and PLC Systems Monitoring:
- Learn to monitor and manage SCADA and PLC systems to ensure smooth operation of automated production systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting SCADA/PLC-related issues, ensuring production continues with minimal downtime.
- Work with senior engineers to configure, test, and calibrate PLC and SCADA systems, ensuring alignment with production goals and system performance requirements.
Production Scheduling and Coordination:
- Help coordinate and manage production schedules, ensuring that production goals are met and resources are allocated effectively.
- Assist in optimizing production schedules by analyzing data from production control systems, identifying areas for efficiency improvements, and supporting production planning.
- Support the adjustment of production schedules based on real-time data and changing priorities.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Assist in collecting data from production control systems, machinery, and other production assets to monitor performance and ensure alignment with quality standards.
- Help analyze system data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Work with senior engineers to implement corrective actions and provide insights into production performance improvements.
System Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Assist in performing routine maintenance on production control systems, ensuring systems are functioning correctly and avoiding unplanned downtime.
- Support troubleshooting efforts by identifying and resolving minor system or equipment issues related to production control systems.
- Document system issues, maintenance activities, and any changes made to production systems for record-keeping purposes.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance teams, to ensure smooth operation and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
- Provide basic support and technical assistance to production teams and operators, helping them resolve minor issues related to production control systems.
- Participate in team meetings to share progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in production processes.
Learning and Development:
- Develop technical expertise in production control systems, PLC/SCADA programming, data analysis, and other automation technologies.
- Participate in training programs and on-the-job learning opportunities to enhance knowledge of production control systems and manufacturing processes.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in production control, automation, and manufacturing technologies.

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Basic coursework or certifications in PLC programming, SCADA systems, or manufacturing systems is a plus.
Experience:
- No prior full-time experience is required. Relevant internships or academic projects related to production control, automation, or manufacturing systems will be considered an asset.
- Exposure to production systems, control systems, or automated manufacturing environments through academic projects or internships is advantageous.
Tools and Technologies:
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and PLC programming software (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi) is a plus.
- Exposure to production scheduling software or manufacturing execution systems (MES) is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.
