We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Pressure Vessel Engineer to lead the design, inspection, maintenance, and integrity management of pressure vessels, including boilers, within our facilities. This senior role requires deep expertise in pressure vessel codes, advanced engineering analysis, project leadership, and regulatory compliance. You will mentor junior engineers, drive technical excellence, and ensure the safety and reliability of critical pressure equipment.
Lead the design and engineering of pressure vessels and boiler components per ASME Section I & VIII, API standards, and other applicable codes.
Oversee complex engineering calculations, stress analysis, and material selections to optimize safety and performance.
Approve design documentation, technical specifications, and vendor drawings, ensuring full compliance with codes and project requirements.
Develop and manage inspection strategies, fitness-for-service assessments, and integrity monitoring programs for boilers and pressure vessels.
Lead failure investigations, root cause analyses, and develop corrective action plans for pressure equipment.
Ensure comprehensive documentation and reporting of inspection findings and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Manage pressure vessel-related engineering projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams including fabrication, welding, maintenance, quality, and operations.
Interface with regulatory bodies and third-party inspectors during audits and certification processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on pressure vessel design, inspection practices, and operational reliability.
Mentor and train junior and mid-level engineers on pressure vessel engineering principles, code requirements, and best practices.
Promote knowledge sharing and professional development within the engineering team.
Champion safety culture and adherence to industry standards in all pressure vessel activities.
Lead pressure vessel and boiler design and integrity programs
Oversee inspection, failure analysis, and fitness-for-service evaluations
Manage engineering projects and regulatory compliance
Provide mentorship and technical leadership
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field
Advanced certifications such as API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector), API 570 (Piping Inspector), or equivalent
In-depth knowledge of ASME Section I & VIII and related standards
8+ years of progressive experience in pressure vessel engineering, design, inspection, or maintenance, with significant exposure to boilers
Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing large-scale projects in industrial or power plant environments
Expert knowledge of pressure vessel design, welding metallurgy, stress analysis, and material behavior
Proficiency with inspection methods, non-destructive testing, and failure investigation
Strong familiarity with regulatory requirements and code compliance
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
