The Junior Predictive Maintenance Supervisor – Vibration and Alignment plays a key role in supporting the predictive maintenance program with a focus on monitoring and diagnosing machinery health using vibration analysis, laser alignment, and condition monitoring tools. This role is ideal for a technically inclined individual with hands-on skills and a strong interest in machine reliability and maintenance best practices.
Predictive Maintenance Execution:
Conduct routine vibration analysis on rotating equipment (motors, pumps, fans, gearboxes, etc.).
Perform alignment and balancing procedures using laser alignment tools and precision instruments.
Collect and interpret machine condition data to identify early signs of mechanical failure.
Data Collection & Reporting:
Utilize portable and online monitoring equipment to collect data from mechanical assets.
Generate reports detailing findings, recommendations, and trends in equipment performance.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance inspections and analysis results.
Maintenance Planning Support:
Collaborate with maintenance planners to schedule corrective and preventive actions based on diagnostic findings.
Support root cause analysis (RCA) for vibration-related failures.
Assist in maintaining the predictive maintenance database or CMMS system.
Tool & Equipment Management:
Maintain calibration and proper functioning of vibration and alignment instruments.
Ensure safe handling and storage of condition monitoring equipment.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Follow all company safety protocols and procedures during inspections and maintenance tasks.
Identify and report unsafe conditions or practices related to rotating machinery.
Vibration Analysis:
Basic understanding and hands-on application of vibration data collection and diagnosis.
Laser Alignment & Balancing:
Ability to perform precision alignment and balancing of rotating equipment using standard tools.
Equipment Monitoring:
Routine monitoring and logging of machine health conditions to support proactive maintenance.
Data Interpretation & Reporting:
Ability to identify early warning signs from collected data and communicate findings clearly.
Collaboration with Maintenance Teams:
Coordinate with maintenance and reliability engineers for timely resolution of equipment issues.
Safety Awareness:
Work safely and promote safe maintenance practices in predictive maintenance activities.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
2–4 years of relevant experience in maintenance, reliability, or condition monitoring.
Familiarity with vibration analysis tools and laser alignment systems (e.g., Fluke, Pruftechnik, CSI).
Basic knowledge of rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
Certification in Vibration Analysis (e.g., ISO Category I or II) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to learn.
