Job Title: Pipeline Installation Technician
Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Junior Level Pipeline Installation Technician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with basic mechanical knowledge who are eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in pipeline installation. The technician will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipelines under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation of pipelines, including assembling, aligning, and securing pipes.
- Perform basic excavation and trenching work to prepare sites for pipeline installation.
- Help inspect pipelines for leaks, damage, and proper alignment.
- Support in cutting, threading, and welding pipes as required.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and project specifications under supervision.
- Assist in pressure testing pipelines to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with senior technicians and team members to complete projects on time.
Key Focus Area:
- Hands-On Training & Safety Compliance: The primary focus of this role is to develop foundational skills in pipeline installation while strictly adhering to safety standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in plumbing, welding, or a related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and construction techniques.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced technicians.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pipeline installation, plumbing, or construction is an advantage.
- Knowledge of different pipe materials (PVC, steel, HDPE, etc.) and their applications.
- Familiarity with basic welding or soldering techniques.
- Awareness of OSHA safety regulations and construction site protocols.
