Job Title: Pipeline Fitter

Job Summary: 

The Pipeline Fitter (Fresher) will assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing pipeline systems, gaining hands-on experience and developing essential skills in the mechanical and maintenance field. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals eager to start their careers and learn from experienced technicians and engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in Installation and Setup:

    • Helped install pipeline components under the supervision of experienced technicians.

    • Follow technical diagrams and instructions to ensure proper setup of components.

    • Ensure all associated piping, supports, and connections are correctly installed.

  2. Routine Maintenance and Inspections:

    • Perform routine inspections of pipeline components to identify signs of wear, leaks, or damage.

    • Assist in the lubrication and cleaning of components to prevent malfunction.

    • Maintain records of routine maintenance and inspections.

  3. Support in Troubleshooting and Repairs:

    • Assist senior technicians in diagnosing and troubleshooting pipeline issues.

    • Perform minor repairs and replacements of faulty components under supervision.

    • Learn how to calibrate components for proper operation.

  4. Safety Compliance:

    • Follow all safety protocols during installation, maintenance, and repairs.

    • Ensure installations comply with relevant safety regulations and standards.

    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  5. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of all work performed.

    • Prepare maintenance reports and document issues encountered.

    • Support senior technicians in creating detailed reports.

  6. Learning and Development:

    • Continuously develop technical skills in pipeline systems.

    • Participate in training sessions and on-the-job learning opportunities.

    • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices.

  7. Team Collaboration:

    • Work under the guidance of senior technicians and engineers.

    • Collaborate with team members to meet maintenance schedules.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems.

  • Strong willingness to learn and develop hands-on skills.

  • Familiarity with basic hand tools is a plus.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.

Key Focus Areas:

Field Instrumentation: Assist in maintaining and calibrating field devices for accurate process control.

Troubleshooting: Learn basic fault diagnosis and support the resolution of issues in instrumentation systems.

Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and participate in training programs to ensure workplace safety.

Skill Development: Gain technical knowledge and experience in oil and gas field operations.

Educational Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • A certificate or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is beneficial but not required.

Experience:

  • No prior professional experience required.

  • Internships or academic projects related to mechanical systems are advantageous.

Tools and Technologies:

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools.

  • Familiarity with pipeline systems is a plus.
