We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Painter to lead painting tasks on construction, maintenance, or renovation projects. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of surface preparation, coating techniques, safety practices, and team coordination. This role involves supervising junior staff and ensuring high-quality finishes across all projects.
Oversee and perform all aspects of surface preparation (cleaning, sanding, filling, priming) and painting.
Apply paints, stains, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine painting requirements.
Select appropriate materials and mix paints to match colors and textures as per specifications.
Supervise, train, and guide junior painters and helpers on best practices and safety.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
Monitor inventory of painting supplies and report any shortages.
Follow and enforce safety regulations on-site at all times.
Coordinate with other trades and site managers to ensure efficient workflow.
Minimum of 5+ years of professional painting experience.
Proven expertise in different painting techniques and surface materials.
Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations.
Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with supervisors and crew.
High level of attention to detail and quality control.
Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments.
Vocational training or certification in painting (preferred but not mandatory).
