Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation & Optimization:
• Independently operate and monitor advanced packaging machines such as wrappers, sealers, labelers, and cartoners.
• Optimize machine settings for improved efficiency and minimal downtime based on production needs and product specifications.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure seamless operation during peak production periods.
Quality Control & Troubleshooting:
• Conduct routine quality inspections to verify that packaged products meet established quality standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues, implementing corrective actions to resolve malfunctions.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams for more complex repairs and improvements.
Safety and Compliance:
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards during machine operation.
• Lead safety briefings and ensure all team members use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, proactively addressing any potential hazards.
Maintenance & Documentation:
• Assist in preventive maintenance activities, ensuring regular cleaning, calibration, and inspection of packaging equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of machine performance, downtime incidents, and maintenance activities.
• Analyze data from production logs to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
Team Collaboration and Training:
• Serve as a resource for junior operators, providing guidance and support in troubleshooting and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in training sessions to stay current with industry trends and technological advancements.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant coursework in mechanical or electrical systems, industrial technology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience operating packaging machinery in a production environment.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing process improvements.
Skills:
• Strong operational knowledge of packaging equipment and mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to analyze production data and drive efficiency improvements.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and mentor junior staff.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
Certifications (Preferred):
• Basic safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, First Aid/CPR) are advantageous.
• Additional certifications related to machinery operation, industrial maintenance, or process optimization are a plus.
