Job Title: Director of Omnichannel Retail

Job Summary:

The Director of Omnichannel Retail is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and driving the overall omnichannel retail strategy. This position plays a critical role in shaping the future of the business by integrating digital and physical retail experiences, optimizing customer journeys, and leveraging technology to drive revenue and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will oversee multiple teams, collaborate with C-level executives, and implement innovative solutions to enhance seamless commerce across all sales channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute a long-term omnichannel strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.

  • Define and oversee the integration of online and offline sales channels to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Lead digital transformation initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency and customer engagement.

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities in emerging digital and physical retail markets.

Customer Experience & Digital Innovation

  • Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring frictionless shopping experiences across all touchpoints.

  • Oversee the development and execution of AI-driven personalization, loyalty programs, and predictive analytics.

  • Lead efforts in digital commerce innovation, including AR/VR shopping experiences, AI-driven product recommendations, and virtual customer support.

  • Implement data-driven strategies to enhance customer retention, satisfaction, and brand loyalty.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to omnichannel success, including revenue contribution, customer lifetime value, and digital influence on in-store sales.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for omnichannel operations.

  • Optimize pricing, inventory distribution, and supply chain strategies to maximize profitability.

  • Drive cost efficiency and ROI on omnichannel investments through continuous process improvements.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Collaborate with executive leadership, IT, marketing, operations, and logistics teams to align omnichannel goals with company objectives.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team responsible for omnichannel operations, digital commerce, and customer experience.

  • Drive culture change within the organization, promoting an omnichannel mindset across departments.

  • Develop strong relationships with external partners, including technology providers, logistics companies, and retail innovators.

Technology & Digital Transformation

  • Oversee the implementation of cutting-edge retail technologies, including machine learning, blockchain for supply chain transparency, and AI-powered automation.

  • Ensure seamless integration of POS, ERP, CRM, and e-commerce platforms for a unified commerce experience.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, providing thought leadership on the future of omnichannel retail.

  • Drive adoption of cloud-based solutions and scalable omnichannel infrastructure.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, Retail Management, or a related field (MBA strongly preferred).

  • 12+ years of experience in omnichannel retail, digital commerce, or retail strategy, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformation and omnichannel initiatives.

  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets.

  • Expertise in customer analytics, AI-driven marketing, and omnichannel sales optimization.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

  • Experience working with global retail operations and supply chain management is a plus.
