Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced OEM Sales Engineering Manager to lead our OEM sales engineering efforts and drive strategic growth across key accounts. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong technical background in engineering and a proven ability to manage people, processes, and complex B2B sales cycles in the OEM space.
• Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of OEM Sales Engineers to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Set clear goals and KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and provide regular coaching and support.
Foster a collaborative, customer-first culture within the sales engineering team.
• Strategic Sales Management:
Develop and execute the OEM sales strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
Identify new OEM market opportunities and guide the team in targeting high-potential accounts.
Oversee the development and execution of key account plans.
• Client Relationship Management:
Serve as an executive-level point of contact for strategic OEM clients.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with engineering, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
Ensure consistent delivery of value and high client satisfaction across accounts.
• Technical Oversight & Solution Development:
Guide the team in understanding client technical requirements and designing tailored engineering solutions.
Work cross-functionally with product, R&D, and operations teams to ensure feasibility and alignment.
Approve and oversee the preparation of proposals, technical documentation, and contracts.
• Sales Operations & Reporting:
Monitor and manage pipeline performance, forecasting, and revenue targets.
Analyze sales data to improve conversion rates, shorten sales cycles, and maximize team effectiveness.
Ensure accurate CRM usage and develop sales reports for executive leadership.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with marketing, product management, and manufacturing to align go-to-market plans.
Influence product development based on market feedback and client needs.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and OEM forums.
Leading and scaling the OEM sales engineering function
Driving complex solution-based sales with technical depth
Managing and growing strategic OEM relationships
Driving revenue and margin growth across OEM channels
Building internal alignment between engineering, sales, and product
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial preferred); MBA is a plus
7–10+ years of experience in OEM sales, including 2+ years in a leadership role
Demonstrated success in managing OEM accounts and technical sales teams
Deep understanding of OEM markets, manufacturing processes, and technical solution development
Proficiency with CRM and sales enablement tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills
Strategic thinking with the ability to drive execution and results
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
High technical literacy and the ability to understand complex engineering requirements
Business acumen and experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
