Job Summary

The Mid-Level Network Optimization role involves managing and optimizing network performance, ensuring that networks run efficiently and meet organizational standards. This position requires a solid understanding of network protocols, configurations, and optimization strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform network analysis and monitoring to identify areas for performance improvement.
• Configure and optimize network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure smooth operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues related to performance, latency, and traffic congestion.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve network speed, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with other teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
• Create and maintain documentation of network configurations, optimization procedures, and performance reports.
• Assist in network planning, including capacity management and optimization for future growth.

Skills and Knowledge Required

• Advanced knowledge of network protocols, devices, and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, QoS, etc.).
• Proficient in using network performance and diagnostic tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetFlow).
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve network optimization issues.
• Familiarity with traffic management and network security best practices.
• Good project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to report findings and collaborate with teams.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications like CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are highly recommended.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in network administration or optimization.
