Job Title: Junior - Network Optimization

Job Summary

The Junior Network Optimization role is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in optimizing and maintaining network performance. This position focuses on learning the fundamentals of network monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving network efficiency under the guidance of senior engineers. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of networking concepts and a strong desire to develop their skills in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with network monitoring using optimization tools to identify performance issues.
• Help configure and maintain network devices for optimal operation, including routers and switches.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of network performance issues and assist in resolving them.
• Collect and analyze network performance data, including bandwidth utilization, latency, and packet loss.
• Document findings and support team members in preparing reports to communicate network performance status.
• Support senior engineers in implementing network upgrades or configuration changes to enhance performance.
• Adhere to network security protocols and standards to ensure the safety of network data and integrity.

Skills and Knowledge Required

• Basic understanding of network protocols (IP, TCP/IP, etc.) and devices (routers, switches, etc.).
• Familiarity with network optimization tools and monitoring software (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for effective problem-solving.
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills to document findings and collaborate with colleagues effectively.

Educational Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college education preferred).
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA are a plus but not required.

• 0-2 years of experience in network administration or optimization.
