Supervisor - Network Architect 
Job Summary: 

The Supervisor Network Architect is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of network architects, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-level network infrastructure. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise in networking, and the ability to align business strategies with cutting-edge network solutions. The Supervisor Network Architect ensures compliance with security standards, drives innovation, and provides strategic direction for enterprise networking initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Leadership & Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of network architects, ensuring high performance and project success. 

Strategic Network Planning: Develop long-term strategies for network architecture, aligning with business objectives and industry trends. 

Enterprise Network Design & Optimization: Architect and oversee the deployment of scalable, secure, and resilient network infrastructure across multiple data centers, offices, and cloud environments. 

Multi-Cloud Networking: Lead the design and implementation of hybrid and multi-cloud networking solutions using AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. 

Security & Compliance Enforcement: Implement Zero Trust Architecture, advanced firewall policies, IDS/IPS, DDoS mitigation, and ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR. 

Automation & AI-Driven Networking: Drive network automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python scripting, and AI-based network management tools. 

Disaster Recovery & High Availability: Design and oversee the implementation of business continuity plans, geo-redundant architectures, and network failover mechanisms. 

SDN & NFV Implementation: Oversee the integration of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) solutions to enhance network agility. 

Budgeting & Vendor Management: Manage network-related budgets, negotiate with vendors, and oversee procurement of cutting-edge networking technologies. 

Performance Monitoring & Incident Response: Establish and maintain a proactive monitoring and troubleshooting framework using AI-driven network analytics tools. 

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cybersecurity, cloud, and IT operations teams to ensure network alignment with business needs. 

Stakeholder Communication: Present network strategies and architecture roadmaps to senior executives and key stakeholders. 

Research & Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging networking trends and drive innovation in network architecture and security practices. 

Skills and Knowledge Required: 

Enterprise Network Architecture Expertise: Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN, and Segment Routing (SR). 

Security & Risk Management: Deep understanding of network security frameworks, micro-segmentation, and compliance regulations. 

Cloud Networking & Virtualization: Strong expertise in AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, VMware NSX, and Cisco ACI. 

Network Automation & AI: Experience with AI-driven network management (Cisco DNA Center, Juniper Mist AI), scripting (Python, PowerShell), and automation (Ansible, Terraform). 

Infrastructure Resilience & High Availability: Expertise in multi-path routing, network failover, SD-WAN, and load balancing. 

Data Center & Telecom Networking: Advanced knowledge of enterprise-grade switching, routing, and ISP peering. 

Wireless & 5G Technologies: Strong understanding of Wi-Fi 6, private LTE/5G networking, and IoT connectivity. 

Network Simulation & Testing: Hands-on experience with GNS3, Cisco VIRL, EVE-NG, IXIA, and Spirent for modeling and validating network designs. 

Educational Qualifications: 

● Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field. 

● Industry Certifications: CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert), JNCIE (Juniper Networks Certified Expert), AWS Advanced Networking, or equivalent. 

Experience: 

● 15+ years of experience in enterprise networking, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role. 

● Proven ability to lead complex, multi-regional network transformation projects. 

Tools and Equipment: 

Enterprise Network Hardware: Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Brocade, and Huawei networking equipment. 

Security Solutions: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco Firepower, F5 BIG-IP, Radware, and SIEM tools. 

Cloud & Virtual Networking Platforms: AWS Transit Gateway, Azure Virtual WAN, Google Cloud Interconnect. 

AI & Automation Platforms: Cisco DNA Center, Juniper Mist AI, Arista CloudVision, Ansible, Terraform, Netmiko. 

Network Performance & Monitoring: SolarWinds, Splunk, PRTG, Nagios, Kentik. 

Network Simulation & Testing: GNS3, EVE-NG, IXIA, Spirent. 

Other Requirements:

● Ability to manage large-scale enterprise network deployments under high-pressure situations. 

● Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with executives and vendors.
