Key Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot network issues, documenting findings and escalating problems as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform network performance analysis and optimization to enhance overall network efficiency.
- Document network configurations and processes to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new technologies and ensure seamless deployment across the organization.
- Assist in setting up network redundancy and failover configurations to enhance network reliability.
- Deploy and manage network security controls such as access control lists (ACLs) to safeguard sensitive information.
Skills and Knowledge Required
- Knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
- Experience with VLANs, subnets, and access control lists (ACLs) to manage network traffic effectively.
- Basic understanding of cloud networking concepts and their application in modern IT environments.
- Familiarity with automation tools like Python and Ansible to streamline network management tasks.
- Basic knowledge of network access control (NAC) technologies to enhance security measures.
- Awareness of intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) to monitor and protect network traffic.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in network administration or engineering, providing a solid foundation for this role.
Tools and Equipment
- Cisco IOS, FortiGate, and Palo Alto Networks for network device management.
- Network monitoring tools such as PRTG and Nagios for performance tracking.
