Job Summary

A Fresher Network Architect is an entry-level position designed for recent graduates or individuals with minimal experience in the field of networking. This role emphasizes learning and assisting with various aspects of network design, troubleshooting, and security. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with senior engineers to gain hands-on experience within enterprise network environments, developing foundational skills that will support their career growth in network architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Learn and apply fundamental network security measures to protect network integrity.
• Document network configurations and changes to maintain accurate records.
• Participate in network performance monitoring and analysis to ensure optimal operation.
• Support VLAN and subnet configuration under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Learn and work with basic network automation scripts to streamline processes.
• Assist in basic cloud networking tasks across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Follow best practices in network configuration and security to enhance system reliability.
• Gain exposure to SD-WAN and software-defined networking (SDN) concepts to understand modern networking trends.

Skills and Knowledge Required

• Understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
• Basic knowledge of routing and switching concepts.
• Familiarity with networking hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet.
• Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues effectively.
• Awareness of cybersecurity principles to safeguard network resources.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving networking environments.
• Understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 addressing schemes.
• Basic knowledge of wireless networking principles and practices.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

• 0-1 year of experience in networking or IT support is desirable.

Tools and Equipment

• Cisco Packet Tracer, GNS3, Wireshark for network simulation and analysis.
• Basic network monitoring tools to assess network performance.
• Cloud-based networking simulation platforms for hands-on learning.
