Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Millwright Technician – Junior Level to join our maintenance team. In this entry-level position, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and mechanical systems in industrial settings. Under the guidance of senior millwrights and other team members, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in mechanical troubleshooting, equipment assembly, and system maintenance. Key Responsibilities
Assisting with Machine Installation and Assembly:
- Assist in the installation and assembly of machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications and blueprints.
- Help set up, align, and secure machinery, ensuring that all components are properly installed and function as intended.
- Support the team in verifying machine alignment, leveling, and securing of parts.
Routine Maintenance and Inspections:
- Assist with conducting routine maintenance and inspections of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Help identify worn-out or malfunctioning parts and assist in the replacement of components such as bearings, gears, motors, and seals.
- Record maintenance activities and assist in tracking the condition of mechanical systems.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Support senior millwrights in troubleshooting mechanical systems, diagnosing issues, and performing necessary repairs.
- Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of machinery to identify mechanical issues, making repairs as directed by senior technicians.
- Learn how to use diagnostic tools and techniques to evaluate and correct mechanical failures.
Tool and Equipment Usage:
- Help maintain and organize tools and equipment, ensuring that they are in good working order and ready for use.
- Use hand and power tools safely under supervision to assist with mechanical tasks.
- Follow all safety guidelines for using equipment and machinery to ensure a safe working environment.
Safety and Compliance:
- Assist in ensuring that all mechanical work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Follow safety protocols at all times while operating machinery, using tools, or performing maintenance tasks.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Learning and Development:
- Take part in training programs, learning from senior technicians and engineers to enhance your skills in millwright work.
- Participate in technical workshops and learning sessions to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Gradually take on more responsibility, working towards more independent troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or coursework in mechanical systems or related fields is a plus.
- Entry-level position suitable for candidates with limited or no prior professional experience in millwright work.
Experience:
- No prior experience required; this is an entry-level position suitable for recent graduates or individuals with some technical training or hands-on experience in mechanical systems.
- Any internships, workshops, or hands-on projects in mechanical work, machinery, or industrial maintenance is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong interest in learning mechanical systems and industrial maintenance.
- Ability to work with basic mechanical tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A safety-conscious mindset and the ability to adhere to safety protocols.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Any technical certifications or training related to mechanical systems, machinery, or industrial maintenance would be a plus (e.g., OSHA safety certifications).
