Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Fresher Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. As a fresher in this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems within our facility. You will work closely with experienced technicians to learn about mechanical systems and gain hands-on experience. Key Responsibilities:

1. Routine Maintenance:

   • Assist in conducting preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery.
   • Assist senior technicians in routine checks on equipment to ensure that all mechanical systems operate at peak performance.
   • Help maintain an inventory of parts and tools required for regular maintenance.

2. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

   • Support senior technicians in identifying issues with mechanical systems, machinery, or equipment.
   • Assist in the repair or replacement of faulty mechanical components under the supervision of senior maintenance personnel.
   • Participate in diagnosing mechanical issues and help implement corrective actions to minimize machine downtime.

3. Equipment Setup and Installation:

   • Assist in setting up new mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment according to specifications.
   • Help with the installation of new components, ensuring they meet the proper alignment and performance standards.
   • Test installed systems to ensure they are operational and meet quality standards.

4. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used.
   • Assist in preparing daily or weekly maintenance reports to provide updates to the maintenance supervisor or manager.
   • Track the condition of machinery and report any recurring issues to senior technicians.

5. Safety and Compliance:

   • Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when carrying out maintenance tasks.
   • Ensure that all work complies with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
   • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols to reduce the risk of accidents.

6. Learning and Development:

   • Participate in training programs and mentorship opportunities to develop knowledge in mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and repair practices.
   • Learn how to properly use tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks.
   • Continuously improve mechanical skills and knowledge by working closely with senior technicians.

   • Assist in performing scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring that machines run smoothly without issues.

2. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

   • Support troubleshooting efforts for mechanical problems, learning to diagnose issues and determine appropriate repairs with guidance from senior team members.

3. Equipment Installation and Setup:

   • Help with the setup, calibration, and installation of new mechanical equipment, ensuring machines are properly aligned and functioning as expected.

4. Safety Compliance:

   • Adhere to all safety protocols when working with mechanical equipment and machinery, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Assist in documenting maintenance activities and repairs to ensure that maintenance logs are kept accurate and up to date.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Educational Requirements:

   • A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
   • Recent graduates or individuals with less than 1 year of experience in mechanical maintenance or related fields are encouraged to apply.

2. Technical Skills:

   • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
   • Familiarity with tools and equipment used in mechanical maintenance (e.g., wrenches, gauges, diagnostic tools).
   • Basic understanding of troubleshooting techniques and repair processes is an advantage, but not required.

3. Soft Skills:

   • Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills in mechanical maintenance and repair.
