We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Fabricator to lead and execute complex fabrication projects across mechanical and structural systems in a heavy industrial or oil & gas environment. This role requires expert-level proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, supervising junior fabricators, ensuring compliance with international codes/standards, and upholding the highest levels of quality, safety, and productivity.
Perform and oversee the fabrication and fit-up of complex assemblies including pressure vessels, skids, structural supports, pipe spools, and mechanical equipment frames.
Ensure dimensional accuracy, critical tolerances, and correct material selection as per engineering specifications.
Execute high-precision layout, marking, and preparation of components.
Collaborate with welders and welding inspectors to ensure correct weld preparation, joint alignment, and compliance with WPS.
Support pre-heating, post-weld heat treatment (PWHT), and NDT coordination as required.
Lead fabrication teams and assign daily tasks based on project schedules.
Mentor and guide junior fabricators, welders, and helpers in fabrication techniques, safety, and workmanship.
Review progress and ensure adherence to fabrication quality standards and delivery timelines.
Perform in-process dimensional checks and ensure fabricated items meet specified tolerances and welding criteria.
Liaise with QA/QC personnel for inspections, NDT activities, and fabrication dossier preparation.
Ensure proper documentation and traceability of materials, heat numbers, and fabrication records.
Enforce compliance with workplace safety regulations and best practices.
Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
Ensure correct usage of PPE, lifting equipment, and safety devices.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Fabrication Technology or equivalent trade certificate (ITI/NCVT)
7–10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical fabrication
Prior experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industrial fabrication environment preferred
Expert knowledge of fabrication methods, tolerances, and codes (ASME, API, AWS, etc.)
Strong interpretation skills of fabrication drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs
Advanced fit-up and layout techniques
Leadership and mentoring capabilities
Familiarity with inspection techniques and fabrication QA processes
Valid 6G/ASME/AWS welding certification
Rigging & lifting certification
HSE Level II or equivalent safety certification
