We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fabricator – Mid-Level to perform precision fabrication of mechanical parts, assemblies, and equipment used in industrial, oil & gas, and manufacturing applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in fabrication, cutting, welding, and interpretation of engineering drawings. This role requires independence in executing tasks, adherence to quality standards, and collaboration with engineers and workshop supervisors.
Independently fabricate and assemble metal components such as structural frames, piping spools, brackets, and mechanical skids.
Interpret and work from engineering and fabrication drawings, including isometrics and P&IDs.
Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality during fit-up and welding stages.
Perform basic welding operations (TIG, MIG, Stick, or FCAW), including tack welding and alignment.
Grind, polish, and finish components to meet specifications and safety standards.
Identify welding defects and perform rework as required.
Prepare materials by cutting, measuring, and aligning components as per fabrication schedules.
Operate fabrication machinery such as cutting saws, plate rollers, bending machines, and drills.
Coordinate with material control and logistics for timely availability of raw materials.
Ensure fabricated items conform to design specifications and company quality standards.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols, PPE usage, and safe work practices.
Support quality inspections and NDT processes as required.
Work closely with engineers, QA/QC, and supervisors to clarify fabrication requirements.
Report progress, material usage, and any fabrication issues to the Workshop Supervisor.
Mentor junior fabricators or helpers when needed.

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Fabrication Technology
3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical fabrication in a workshop or field environment
Proficient in interpreting fabrication drawings and technical sketches
Skilled in mechanical fit-up and basic welding
Familiar with fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools
Understanding of QA/QC protocols and fabrication tolerances
Ability to mentor junior technicians and apprentices
Welding certifications (e.g., ASME, AWS, 3G/6G)
Basic safety certification (e.g., OSHA, HSE Level 1)
Lifting and rigging awareness (if applicable)
