The Junior Mechanical Engineer – Turbine Sourcing and Technical Evaluation supports the procurement team by providing technical expertise during the sourcing and evaluation of gas and steam turbines and related equipment. This role assists in vendor assessments, technical bid evaluations, and ensures compliance with project specifications and standards.
Assist in reviewing technical specifications, vendor proposals, and bid documents for turbine packages and components.
Support evaluation of OEM and supplier technical capabilities, compliance, and product suitability.
Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to identify technical requirements for turbine sourcing.
Assist in preparing RFQs, technical queries, and clarifications during the tendering process.
Maintain accurate records of technical evaluations, vendor correspondences, and project documents.
Support generation of evaluation reports and comparison matrices.
Liaise with vendors, technical experts, and project teams to gather necessary information and resolve technical queries.
Support meetings and presentations related to turbine sourcing and evaluation.
Stay updated on turbine technologies, industry standards, and best practices to support sourcing decisions.
Participate in training programs to develop technical and procurement skills.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
