Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer (Food Processing) – Fresher to join our team in the food processing industry. In this entry-level position, you will receive hands-on training and gain practical experience in designing, maintaining, and optimizing mechanical systems within food processing facilities. As a fresher, you will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to understand the machinery and processes involved in food production, packaging, and quality control. This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in mechanical engineering within the food manufacturing sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in Designing Mechanical Systems:

    • Support senior engineers in designing mechanical systems and equipment for food processing lines, ensuring they meet operational requirements and industry standards.
    • Assist in the layout and design of processing machinery, conveyors, mixers, packaging systems, and other mechanical components used in food production.
    • Use CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) to assist in creating and modifying mechanical designs and layouts.
  2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

    • Assist in performing routine maintenance on food processing machinery, ensuring that equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist in repairing machinery to minimize downtime and ensure production targets are met.
    • Support preventive maintenance schedules to extend the life of food processing equipment.
  3. Process Optimization:

    • Learn to assist in analyzing and optimizing food processing systems for better performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Support improvements in the design and functionality of equipment to enhance production capacity and reduce waste in the food manufacturing process.
  4. Compliance and Safety Standards:

    • Ensure all work complies with food safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, HACCP).
    • Assist in conducting safety inspections and adhering to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
    • Help implement equipment upgrades and safety measures to meet food safety and regulatory standards.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance to ensure efficient tracking and compliance.
    • Assist in preparing technical reports, providing feedback on system performance, and making recommendations for improvements.
    • Document changes or upgrades made to equipment, including parts used, technical specifications, and operational guidelines.
  6. Learning and Skill Development:

    • Participate in on-the-job training and learning programs to increase knowledge of food processing systems, machinery maintenance, and mechanical engineering principles.
    • Gain practical experience in the food production environment, building technical expertise in the maintenance and optimization of food processing equipment.

    • Support the design and optimization of mechanical systems that enhance food processing operations.
  2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

    • Learn to troubleshoot and maintain food processing machinery to ensure continuous production.

    • Ensure food safety and equipment safety standards are followed, adhering to all relevant codes and regulations.
  4. Learning and Development:

    • Focus on gaining practical experience and technical skills related to food processing systems and machinery.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Educational Requirements:

    • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • Any coursework, projects, or experience related to food processing or machinery maintenance is a plus.
  2. Experience:

    • No prior professional experience required; this is an entry-level role ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited industry experience.
    • Any internships, academic projects, or part-time work in mechanical engineering or food processing is a bonus.
  3. Skills:

    • Basic understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and automation, especially in industrial or food processing environments.
    • Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with senior engineers and operational teams.
    • Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in food processing and mechanical systems.
  4. Certifications (Preferred):

    • Any certifications related to food safety, mechanical systems, or manufacturing processes are a plus.
    • Safety-related certifications (e.g., OSHA) are beneficial.
