Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer (Food Processing) – Fresher to join our team in the food processing industry. As a fresher, you will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to understand the machinery and processes involved in food production, packaging, and quality control. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Designing Mechanical Systems:
- Support senior engineers in designing mechanical systems and equipment for food processing lines, ensuring they meet operational requirements and industry standards.
- Assist in the layout and design of processing machinery, conveyors, mixers, packaging systems, and other mechanical components used in food production.
- Use CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) to assist in creating and modifying mechanical designs and layouts.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Assist in performing routine maintenance on food processing machinery, ensuring that equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist in repairing machinery to minimize downtime and ensure production targets are met.
- Support preventive maintenance schedules to extend the life of food processing equipment.
Process Optimization:
- Learn to assist in analyzing and optimizing food processing systems for better performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support improvements in the design and functionality of equipment to enhance production capacity and reduce waste in the food manufacturing process.
Compliance and Safety Standards:
- Ensure all work complies with food safety standards, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, HACCP).
- Assist in conducting safety inspections and adhering to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Help implement equipment upgrades and safety measures to meet food safety and regulatory standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance to ensure efficient tracking and compliance.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, providing feedback on system performance, and making recommendations for improvements.
- Document changes or upgrades made to equipment, including parts used, technical specifications, and operational guidelines.
Learning and Skill Development:
- Participate in on-the-job training and learning programs to increase knowledge of food processing systems, machinery maintenance, and mechanical engineering principles.
- Gain practical experience in the food production environment, building technical expertise in the maintenance and optimization of food processing equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Any coursework, projects, or experience related to food processing or machinery maintenance is a plus.
Experience:
- No prior professional experience required; this is an entry-level role ideal for recent graduates or individuals with limited industry experience.
- Any internships, academic projects, or part-time work in mechanical engineering or food processing is a bonus.
Skills:
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems, machinery, and automation, especially in industrial or food processing environments.
- Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with senior engineers and operational teams.
