Job Description: Marketing Data Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a visionary Director of Marketing Data Analytics to lead our marketing analytics function and drive strategic initiatives across the organization. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive analytics strategy, overseeing data governance, and partnering with executive leadership to translate data insights into actionable business strategies. Your leadership will ensure that our marketing efforts are optimized through data-driven decision-making and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and implement a holistic marketing data analytics strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify strategic opportunities and drive organizational growth through data insights.
  • Data Governance & Integration:

    • Oversee the integration, quality, and governance of data across multiple marketing channels and platforms.
    • Ensure that data infrastructures support efficient, reliable, and scalable analytics.
  • Team Management & Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of analytics professionals, including managers and senior analysts.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
  • Advanced Analytics & Innovation:

    • Champion the use of advanced analytical techniques, predictive modeling, and machine learning to drive marketing performance.
    • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies and tools to enhance analytics capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Act as the key liaison between marketing, IT, product, finance, and executive teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication of insights.
    • Present complex data insights and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Performance Measurement:

    • Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate marketing campaign performance and overall impact on business growth.
    • Continuously refine measurement frameworks to ensure the highest level of analytical rigor and relevance.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Advanced Analytics Expertise:

    • Proficiency with advanced analytics tools (SQL, Python/R, Excel) and BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
  •         Deep knowledge of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques.

  • Marketing Acumen: Extensive understanding of digital marketing metrics, customer segmentation, ROI analysis, and campaign performance optimization.

  • Leadership & Strategic Vision:

    • Demonstrated experience in leading and scaling analytics teams, with a strong track record of influencing executive decision-making.
    • Strategic thinker with robust business acumen, capable of translating complex data into actionable strategies.
  • Communication Skills:

    • Proven ability to simplify complex analytical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  •         Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with experience presenting to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Innovation & Problem Solving: A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements and innovative analytics solutions.


Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Data Science/Analytics) or relevant certifications are strongly preferred.

Experience

  • 8-10+ years of progressive experience in marketing data analytics, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies that have delivered measurable business impact.
  • Extensive experience in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale analytics projects.
