Job Title: Marine Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Marine Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist to support the inspection, repair, and maintenance of marine structures, ports, harbors, and offshore facilities. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring the integrity and functionality of docks, piers, breakwaters, pipelines, and marine equipment. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in marine infrastructure maintenance, safety compliance, and environmental protection.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Inspection & Maintenance:
- Assist in inspecting and assessing marine structures, including docks, bridges, seawalls, and offshore platforms.
- Support preventive maintenance and repair tasks for marine infrastructure components.
- Participate in underwater and surface-level inspections using diving teams and remote monitoring equipment.
Repair & Operational Support:
- Assist with welding, corrosion control, concrete repairs, and structural reinforcements.
- Help maintain and repair marine electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Support dredging operations and coastal protection projects.
Equipment Handling & Safety Compliance:
- Operate and maintain marine tools, heavy equipment, and specialized maintenance machinery.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and maritime industry best practices.
- Follow protocols for hazardous material handling, spill prevention, and emergency response.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain maintenance logs, inspection reports, and repair records.
- Assist in documenting infrastructure conditions and work progress for senior engineers and supervisors.
- Report any safety hazards, structural issues, or equipment malfunctions.

- Safety & Compliance: Follow maritime regulations and ensure safe work environments.
- Technical & Mechanical Assistance: Assist in mechanical, electrical, and structural repairs.

- Reporting & Documentation: Keep detailed records of inspections and maintenance work.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications in marine safety, diving, or welding (preferred but not required).
Experience:
- 0-2 years of experience in marine maintenance, civil engineering, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with basic mechanical and electrical maintenance (preferred).
Technical Expertise:
- Basic knowledge of marine structures, corrosion control, and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in marine infrastructure maintenance.
- Understanding of hydraulics, welding, and mechanical repairs.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in challenging marine environments.
- Good physical fitness for on-site and offshore work.
- Ability to work in teams and follow instructions from senior specialists.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
- Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)
- Confined Space Entry Certification
- Welding or Corrosion Control Certification
- Commercial Diving Certification (if applicable)
