Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Junior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our production team. This entry-level role will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a passion for operational efficiency and a willingness to learn from experienced engineers in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Focus Areas:

1. Process Support & Troubleshooting

  • Assist in day-to-day production support by identifying and resolving process-related issues.

  • Work with operators and technicians to understand problems and propose solutions.

2. Continuous Improvement

  • Support Lean Manufacturing and waste reduction initiatives under the guidance of senior engineers.

  • Participate in Kaizen events and implement basic improvement activities.

3. Data Collection & Analysis

  • Gather and analyze production data (e.g., scrap rates, downtime, cycle time) to identify trends.

  • Use simple analytical tools to report and visualize process performance.

4. Documentation & Process Standardization

  • Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for production processes.

5. New Product & Process Support

  • Contribute to pilot runs and trials for new products or equipment.

  • Support process validation and training activities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (quality, production, maintenance) to support smooth manufacturing operations.

  • Conduct time studies, workflow observations, and basic root cause analysis.

  • Assist in implementing 5S and safety improvements on the shop floor.

  • Follow engineering change procedures and contribute to documentation updates.

  • Learn and apply basic principles of Lean, Six Sigma, and quality tools.

  • Stay engaged with hands-on production operations to gain process familiarity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

  • Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and production workflows.

  • Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
