We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Junior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our production team. This entry-level role will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a passion for operational efficiency and a willingness to learn from experienced engineers in a fast-paced production environment.
Assist in day-to-day production support by identifying and resolving process-related issues.
Work with operators and technicians to understand problems and propose solutions.
Support Lean Manufacturing and waste reduction initiatives under the guidance of senior engineers.
Participate in Kaizen events and implement basic improvement activities.
Gather and analyze production data (e.g., scrap rates, downtime, cycle time) to identify trends.
Use simple analytical tools to report and visualize process performance.
Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for production processes.
Contribute to pilot runs and trials for new products or equipment.
Support process validation and training activities as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (quality, production, maintenance) to support smooth manufacturing operations.
Conduct time studies, workflow observations, and basic root cause analysis.
Assist in implementing 5S and safety improvements on the shop floor.
Follow engineering change procedures and contribute to documentation updates.
Learn and apply basic principles of Lean, Six Sigma, and quality tools.
Stay engaged with hands-on production operations to gain process familiarity.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and production workflows.
Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
