Job Title:  Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical Focus)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Fresher Manufacturing Engineer with a Mechanical Focus to join our engineering team. As a fresher, you will support the manufacturing processes, focusing on improving efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build their career in manufacturing engineering. Under the guidance of senior engineers, you will gain hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems, and contribute to various projects aimed at optimizing production.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process Improvement and Support:

    • Assist in analyzing and improving manufacturing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending solutions to enhance production speed and quality.
    • Support the implementation of new processes and technologies to streamline operations and reduce waste.
    • Learn to perform time studies, process analysis, and material flow optimization.
  2. Product Design Support:

    • Collaborate with the design team to review product designs and assess manufacturability, suggesting design modifications to optimize for manufacturing.
    • Assist in developing and refining assembly methods and ensuring designs align with production capabilities.
    • Ensure that designs meet mechanical standards and specifications to improve manufacturability.
  3. Manufacturing Process Documentation:

    • Help document and update manufacturing process specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
    • Record process changes and ensure all updates are clearly communicated to production teams.
    • Assist in creating process flow diagrams, control plans, and process validation documents.
  4. Quality Control and Testing:

    • Support quality control processes by assisting in product testing, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Help in identifying product defects and collaborate with quality control teams to resolve issues quickly.
    • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for any quality issues that arise during production.
  5. Machine and Equipment Support:

    • Assist in the selection and setup of machinery, tools, and equipment for production processes.
    • Support troubleshooting activities and minor repairs to ensure machines are running at optimal efficiency.
    • Learn to conduct routine maintenance on equipment and recommend improvements for reliability and productivity.
  6. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

    • Work closely with the production, design, and quality teams to ensure that manufacturing processes are aligned with production goals.
    • Assist in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Communicate effectively with various departments to ensure alignment on production schedules, process changes, and quality standards.
  7. Learning and Skill Development:

    • Participate in training and workshops to enhance technical knowledge and skills in mechanical engineering, manufacturing processes, and industry best practices.
    • Take part in on-the-job learning to gain proficiency in the use of engineering tools, production equipment, and software.

    • Support the implementation of quality control measures, performing inspections, tests, and assessments to maintain high product standards.
  4. Machine and Equipment Support:

    • Assist in machine setup and minor troubleshooting to ensure smooth production operations.
  5. Learning and Development:

    • Continuously develop skills in manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and production technologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
    • Fresh graduates or individuals with minimal work experience are encouraged to apply.
  2. Technical Skills:

    • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and production techniques.
    • Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and manufacturing tools is an advantage but not required.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
  3. Soft Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about process improvement.
    • Good communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • A proactive and motivated approach to learning new technologies and processes.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
  4. Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):

    • Any certifications related to manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, or mechanical systems is a plus.
    • Certifications in CAD software or industrial safety would be beneficial.
