Job Title: Manufacturing Automation Engineer
Job Summary:
The Fresher-Level Manufacturing Automation Engineer is responsible for assisting in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of automated systems used in manufacturing processes. This role involves gaining hands-on experience in programming, troubleshooting, and quality control of automation systems such as robots, conveyors, and industrial equipment. The engineer will work under the supervision of senior staff to develop skills in SCADA and PLC programming, quality monitoring, and equipment integration.
Key Responsibilities:
System Installation and Setup:
- Assist in the setup and installation of automated manufacturing systems, including robots, conveyors, and industrial machinery.
- Support the integration of SCADA and PLC systems with manufacturing equipment to ensure seamless operation.
- Participate in initial system testing and performance validation under supervision.
Programming and Control:
- Develop foundational knowledge of SCADA and PLC programming for industrial automation equipment.
- Assist in creating and modifying basic control logic and scripts for manufacturing processes.
- Test and troubleshoot programming to ensure alignment with production requirements.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct routine inspections of automation systems to identify potential issues.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving minor technical problems in automated equipment.
- Document maintenance activities and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
Quality Control and Monitoring:
- Assist in monitoring automated processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and production targets.
- Support the collection and analysis of data from sensors and control systems to identify performance improvements.
- Document and report any deviations or anomalies in system performance.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to meet operational goals.
- Provide basic support to end-users and operators in using automated equipment.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
Learning and Development:
- Develop skills in SCADA and PLC programming, as well as other industrial automation technologies.
- Gain knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment integration, and quality assurance principles.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in manufacturing automation.

Experience:
- No prior experience required; internships or academic projects in industrial automation are advantageous.
Tools and Technologies:
- Exposure to basic SCADA systems and PLC programming software (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000).
- Familiarity with industrial robotics and automation tools is beneficial.
