Manager – Process Environment Control (Temperature/Humidity)

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager – Process Environment Control to lead the design, monitoring, and optimization of temperature and humidity control systems within our manufacturing and storage environments. This position is critical to ensuring consistent product quality, compliance with industry standards, and optimal operational efficiency. The role requires close collaboration with production, quality assurance, maintenance, and regulatory teams.


Key Focus Areas:

  1. Climate Control Strategy and System Performance

    • Design, implement, and optimize process environment control systems to maintain precise temperature and humidity levels across production and storage areas.

    • Oversee calibration and performance validation of environmental control equipment and sensors.

  2. Regulatory Compliance and Quality Standards

    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., FDA, GMP, ISO, HACCP) and company quality assurance standards.

    • Support audits and inspections by maintaining documentation and demonstrating system performance.

  3. Data Monitoring and Trend Analysis

    • Utilize BMS/EMS/SCADA systems to monitor environmental conditions in real time.

    • Analyze trends and deviations to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

  4. Preventive Maintenance and Reliability

    • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance plans for HVAC, dehumidification, and control systems.

    • Minimize unplanned downtime and maintain system reliability through root cause analysis and proactive interventions.

  5. Cross-Functional Coordination

    • Work with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure environmental conditions meet process-specific requirements.

    • Provide environmental control expertise during new equipment installation, process changes, or facility upgrades.

  6. Energy Optimization and Sustainability

    • Identify and implement energy-saving measures related to HVAC and humidity control systems.

    • Balance energy efficiency with process stability and compliance.

  7. Documentation and Reporting

    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of system specifications, maintenance activities, alarms, and corrective actions.

    • Prepare and present periodic reports on environmental control KPIs to management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in environmental control (HVAC, humidity control, cleanrooms) in regulated industries (e.g., food, pharma, electronics).

  • Strong understanding of regulatory and quality standards (FDA, GMP, ISO 14644, etc.).

  • Experience with building/environmental management systems (BMS, EMS).

  • Proficient in HVAC controls, humidification/dehumidification systems, and sensor technologies.


Key Skills:

  • Technical expertise in climate and humidity control systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.

  • Project management experience, especially in process improvement or facility upgrades.

  • Familiarity with CMMS, SCADA, or other industrial monitoring platforms.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various environments including cleanrooms, production floors, and mechanical rooms.

  • Ability to perform physical inspections and walk-throughs in temperature-controlled areas.
