The Manager – HVAC Quality and Compliance is responsible for leading the quality assurance and regulatory compliance efforts for HVAC systems within automotive platforms. This role oversees quality control processes, audits, and compliance with industry standards and regulations related to HVAC components and systems. The manager collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure products meet safety, performance, and environmental requirements, driving continuous improvement in quality and compliance across all HVAC projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality management systems and processes specific to automotive HVAC components and systems.
Lead compliance initiatives ensuring HVAC designs and products adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g., SAE, ISO, REACH, RoHS, refrigerant regulations).
Oversee supplier quality management, including audits, corrective actions, and performance monitoring.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish robust quality control plans, inspection protocols, and testing procedures.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for HVAC quality issues and non-conformances.
Manage internal and external audits related to HVAC quality and compliance.
Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance product reliability, manufacturability, and regulatory adherence.
Maintain documentation and records for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Mentor and develop quality assurance personnel, fostering a culture of quality excellence.
Stay informed on evolving regulations and standards impacting automotive HVAC systems and ensure timely compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field required
Advanced certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma) preferred
Experience:
8+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in automotive HVAC or thermal systems
Proven experience managing compliance with automotive and environmental standards
Background in supplier quality management and audit processes
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC components, refrigerants, and automotive quality standards
Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949)
Experience with root cause analysis tools and continuous improvement methodologies
