Job Title: Junior Maintenance Technician 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Maintenance Technician (Food Equipment) to join our maintenance team within the food processing industry. This role is designed for individuals who have a foundational understanding of equipment maintenance and are ready to take on more responsibility in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of food processing machinery. Key Responsibilities:

Assistance with Equipment Maintenance:

• Support senior technicians in conducting routine maintenance and minor repairs on food processing equipment, including ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging machines.
• Assist in cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to maintain optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
• Follow established maintenance procedures and protocols under the guidance of experienced staff.

Troubleshooting and Repairs:

• Utilize basic diagnostic skills to identify equipment issues and assist in troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Aid in disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling equipment to pinpoint and replace defective parts.
• Ensure that repairs are performed safely and efficiently under supervision.

Safety and Compliance:

• Strictly adhere to safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards when performing maintenance tasks.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Participate in regular safety training sessions to uphold a safe working environment.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

• Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
• Contribute to updating maintenance logs and preparing basic reports on equipment performance.
• Report any issues or irregularities observed during maintenance to the supervisor promptly.
