Key Responsibilities:
Assistance with Equipment Maintenance:
- Support senior technicians in performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on food processing equipment, including ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging machines.
- Assist in cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to ensure efficient functioning and to prevent potential breakdowns.
- Follow established maintenance procedures and protocols as directed by experienced staff.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Learn to diagnose basic issues and assist in troubleshooting malfunctions in food equipment.
- Help disassemble, inspect, and reassemble equipment to identify and replace defective parts.
- Work under supervision to ensure repairs are executed safely and efficiently.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards when carrying out maintenance tasks.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions and drills to foster a secure working environment.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
- Support the updating of maintenance logs and the preparation of basic reports on equipment performance.
- Document any issues encountered during maintenance and report them to the supervisor promptly.
Learning and Development:
- Engage in on-the-job training programs to build technical skills in food equipment maintenance.
- Learn to operate diagnostic tools and acquire basic troubleshooting techniques under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Collaborate with team members to gain a comprehensive understanding of equipment functions and maintenance procedures.
