The Maintenance Program Manager for Jet Engine/Turbine Overhaul (MRO) will oversee and coordinate all aspects of maintenance, repair, and overhaul programs for jet engines and turbine components. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of engine maintenance activities in accordance with industry regulations and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in jet engine maintenance, program management, and regulatory compliance.
Manage and lead comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) programs for jet engines and turbine components.
Develop, implement, and monitor maintenance schedules, processes, and quality standards to ensure timely and effective engine overhauls.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and operations to meet MRO program objectives.
Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies such as FAA, EASA, and customer-specific requirements.
Manage customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for maintenance program issues, updates, and reporting.
Analyze maintenance data and metrics to identify trends, improve processes, and reduce downtime and costs.
Oversee budgeting, resource planning, and vendor management related to overhaul activities.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing maintenance efficiency, safety, and quality.
Ensure proper documentation and certification of all maintenance activities.
Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies in jet engine maintenance and overhaul.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field preferred.
7+ years of experience in jet engine or turbine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), with 3+ years in a program management or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of jet engine components, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience managing complex maintenance programs and cross-functional teams.
Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems, quality management systems, and ERP software.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications related to maintenance or project management (e.g., PMP, AME license) are a plus.
Experience working in aerospace MRO facilities or with OEMs.
Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and condition-based maintenance (CBM) practices.
Strong leadership and customer relationship management abilities.
Continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma experience.
