Operate material-handling and heavy equipment (forklift, shovel/excavator, mobile crane, wheel/skid loader) for residential/light-commercial maintenance and small project sites. Ensure safe lifts, material movement, loading/unloading, backfilling/stockpiling, and site housekeeping per SOPs, OEM limits, and HSE requirements. Coordinate with dispatch for mobilization, permits, and documentation; close jobs with client sign-off.
Pre-use checks: Complete daily inspection checklists (fluids, tyres/tracks, forks/booms, pins, hoses, alarms, lights, LMI), tag out defects, and report immediately.
Safe operation:
Forklift (counterbalance/reach/telehandler): Load center awareness, de-rating with attachments, safe travel on ramps, stacking/unsticking pallets, work in confined aisles.
Crane (truck/rough-terrain): Set outriggers/pads, read load charts, confirm radius/boom angle, use LMI/anti-two-block, adhere to wind/OEM limits; lift only with certified rigger/banksman.
Loader/Shovel (wheel/skid/excavator): Excavation, trench backfill, stockpile loading, truck loading with spotter; slope and edge protection.
Rigging interface: Work with certified rigger/banksman for slinging, signaling, exclusion zones, tag-lines, and lift path control.
Site controls: Maintain barricades and traffic plans; protect underground/overhead services; housekeeping after works.
Documentation: Timesheets, fuel/oil logs, pre-use checklists, lift plans (where applicable), before/after photos, and client sign-off in CRM.
Compliance: Follow permit-to-work, LOTO/isolation, hot-work and confined-space boundaries; report incidents/near-misses promptly.
Customer communication: Align on scope, sequence, and variations (extra lifts, extra hours, access constraints) before proceeding.
3–5 years hands-on operation on at least one category (forklift / crane / loader / shovel); multi-machine capability preferred.
Strong knowledge of OEM limits, stability (radius, load center, de-rating), ground bearing, wind effects, and visibility hazards.
Familiarity with lift plans, signaling standards, exclusion zones, and traffic management.
Basic English for site briefs and notes (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu a plus).
Smartphone for CRM, navigation, and photo documentation.
UAE driving licence (LMV/HMV) preferred; relevant heavy-equipment licence for road movement if required by authority/site.
Trade/Operator certificate for the relevant machine(s).
Valid third-party operator card/certification (e.g., authority/approved training provider such as KHDA/OSHAD/DM/TÜV) for the equipment operated.
Rigger/Signalman certificate is a plus (mandatory if performing rigging duties).
Basic HSE/First Aid and Work-at-Height awareness preferred.
