The Loop Testing Supervisor leads and oversees a team of technicians responsible for executing and documenting complete instrument loop tests across CIP/SIP systems and process-critical zones. This role ensures compliance with GMP, safety, and automation standards, manages project timelines, coordinates cross-functional activities, and acts as the point of contact for QA, validation, and automation teams. The supervisor also plays a key role in audit readiness, team development, and continuous improvement of loop testing and documentation practices.
Lead and manage loop testing activities for all field instruments integrated with control systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA).
Plan, assign, and track progress of loop verification across CIP/SIP skids, utilities, reactors, and filling systems.
Review I/O lists, loop folders, P&IDs, instrument datasheets, and control logic to ensure end-to-end traceability.
Supervise execution of signal testing (4-20 mA, digital, HART), alarm simulations, and system feedback verifications.
Ensure team compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), GMP protocols, and safety standards.
Coordinate with QA, automation, and commissioning teams to support IQ/OQ readiness and punch list resolution.
Manage resource allocation, testing schedules, and tool inventory (loop calibrators, HART devices, etc.).
Mentor and evaluate team members; provide training on advanced loop testing and documentation practices.
Support audits and inspections by providing accurate loop records, redlined drawings, and test reports.
