The Mid-Level Loop Testing Technician plays a critical role in the execution, documentation, and troubleshooting of instrument loop checks for CIP/SIP systems and core process zones. This includes verifying signal accuracy from field devices to control systems, ensuring compliance with qualification standards, and collaborating with QA and commissioning teams during equipment startup and validation.
Perform end-to-end loop checks of field instruments (e.g., transmitters, flow meters, RTDs) with control systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA).
Validate signal quality, range, response accuracy, and alarm logic for analog/digital inputs and outputs.
Troubleshoot loop errors involving miswiring, signal loss, scaling issues, or mismatched tags.
Support instrument qualification activities as part of IQ/OQ protocols for CIP/SIP skids, reactors, mixing tanks, and packaging systems.
Coordinate with control system engineers to ensure correct mapping of I/O signals and update I/O lists.
Maintain detailed documentation in alignment with GMP, GDP, and validation protocols.
Update loop folders, redline P&IDs and loop drawings as required after testing.
Follow cleanroom discipline, safety procedures, and electrical safety standards during field activities.
